Image View Description

Students during 1971 commencement exercises. Sue Jacobsen (front row, 3rd from right) was the first woman to earn an undergraduate degree from Bowdoin, and the first woman to deliver a Commencement speaking part. Robert Johnson (front row, 2nd from right) was the first president of the Afro-American Society at Bowdoin.
